abigail sun
is a writer & director from San Francisco and based in NYC. She holds a BFA in Film/TV Production from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
She believes in art as a vehicle for change; drawn to work that amplifies the voices of everyday heroes, she strives to foster empathy, curiosity, and connection through her art.
Her directorial debut short film, “Latchkey Kid”, is currently in post-production and entering the festival circuit in 2027.
During her time at school, she served as Co-Director and Co-Head of Production Management for Fusion Film Festival, NYU’s premiere film festival celebrating women & non-binary filmmakers. With experience in many departments, including Design, Marketing, Programming, and Production Management, she directed the festival through alumni screening, industry showrunner panels, as well as the titular awards ceremony, highlighting student works from music videos, narrative dramas, and short documentaries.
You can usually find her cooking, hiking, or playing the guitar.
